this website had a lot of interesting facts about school lunches and better ways to healthy at home and in school.

1. Reflect on Friday's meeting via blog. Please discuss three positives about the meeting, and three aspects that we need to improve. What questions do you still have about your mission and role in your group?

The positives of the nutrition program is that we had good alternatives to improve lunches in school. Everyone had good ideas and were very expressive about their opinions. The aspects that need to be improved is the mindset of having doubt that we can convey our ideas into reality.

On January 28, 2008, scientists discovered that atleast 1% of austism is caused by too little or too much of a particular strand of an estima6ted 25 genes on chromosome 16. Discovering this cause can lead to treatment to children diagnosed with austism.

Service Learning Projects

1. Helping senior citizen patients at the hospice.

2. Making custom made T-shirts for hospital patients.

3. Helping out at the local SPCA or write letters for to city officials concerning animal rights.

Remains of Heiress Found!


The search for the missing 19 yr Dalton heiress ends with a gruesome discovery. As investigators were searching the Daltons' mansion, detectives found the remains of Mary Dalton in the furnace. Authorities arrested Mary's boyfriend and Communist member, 20 yr old Jan Erlone and the family's recently hired black chauffeur, 20 yr old Bigger Thomas. Both have been taken in for questioning and are faced with possible charges of homicide. The medical examiner is unsure of the cause of death, but knows for sure that she was murdered before being decapitated and put in the furnace. The entire city of Chicago was left devastated and citizens formed mobs, threatening to lynch the black chauffeur.

If only, if only....

Bigger and Gus were imagining what it would be like if they were able to fly an air plane. They imagine flying in the sky and escaping their troubles and fears. They soon realize that what they imagined is only a dream. They realize that they can't fly a plan because of the simple fact that they're black.

Reflection of National History Day

This was my first NHD project, it was by far the hardest project I have ever done. I think my group member and I picked a great topic, but I feel as though there was always something more that we could've done to improve the quality of our documentary.
